Rubelli
A jacquard in jute, cotton, and wool with an ethnic flavour that recalls Moroccan handira wedding blankets, made by Berber women and characterized by geometric patterns and “fur” bands. It comes from an unusual construction, which generates a particular irregular effect, more visible on the dark variant. The jute and cotton base creates a vibration on which the wool parts emerge. The “fur” inserts are rich, while the fabric is lighter, because where there is no design, the wool is cut and eliminated. Once brushed, the hair acquires relief, just as happens for velvet.
